ใช้หมายถึง “อย่างใดอย่างหนี่ง” คำนามที่ใช้ด้วยต้องเป็นเอกพจน์ เช่น

I can wear either the blue dress or the yellow dress.

Neither … nor

ใช้หมายถึง “ไม่ใช่ทั้งอย่างนี้ หรือ อย่างนั้น” เป็นการปฏิเสธทั้งสองอย่างที่เป็นเอกพจน์ เช่น

My choice of vacation is neither Cambodia nor Burma.

Neither Tim nor Frank speaks Thai.

Not either

ใช้หมายถึง “ไม่เช่นกัน” คิอเป็นการบอกปฏิเสธทั้งสองประการ เช่น

Sue doesn’t like action movies, and I don’t either.

All my friends don’t lie, my sister doesn’t either.
